changes, as long as they are consistent will make a profound change in your
overall wellness.
Here are a few small steps to start fresh:
• Move 15 minutes every day – walk, low weights, online plan
• Drink more water – 50% of your body weight in ounces is recommended
• Add in one good eating habit per week – more veggies, fruits, eat slower, chew more, take 4 deep breaths before each meal
• Get enough sleep
• Avoid negative people in your life
• Reduce sugar and alcohol
• Cook with coconut or avocado oils
• Eat a variety of foods
• Replace processed foods with whole foods
• Laugh more
• Speak nicely to yourself
• Eliminate artificial sweeteners and chemicals
• Challenge your mind
It is easy to get confused when it
comes to nutrition and healthy lifestyle – even experts often hold opposing
opinions, which can make it difficult to choose what to do and not to do. But
mostly, all agree on the above basics – a variety of whole foods, daily
movement and positive thinking are the foundations of health both physically
and mentally. Our physical and emotional health are chemically connected and
impact us equally. We can have an incredibly healthy diet, but if we are
physically stagnant or emotionally stressed, our immune system can compromise
our health and promote disease. Care must be taken to protect our entire body –
nutritionally, physically and emotionally.
