Baked Macaroni and Cheese
Ingredients

Elbow Macaroni

Butter
1/2

Flour

Salt

Pepper

Milk

Shredded Cheddar Cheese
4
ounces
Shredded Gruyere Cheese
4
ounces
Shredded Asiago Cheese
Bacon Crumbles for Topping
(Optional)
Seasoned Panko for Topping
(Optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Melt butter in large saucepan
Remove from heat; stir in flour, salt and pepper until smooth
Gradually stir in milk. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. (Otherwise, it will burn.)
Reduce heat and simmer for a minute.
Remove from heat.
Stir in most of the cheese, reserving some for a topping.
Add pasta. Spray a 13 x 9 x 2 glass baking dish with Pam.
Turn out pasta mixture into dish. Sprinkle remaining cheese
Bake 15-20 minutes until golden.
Optional:
Add crispy bacon crumbles to mix. And/or, toss panko bread crumbs with melted butter and top the casserole before baking.
